While adding over 60 new manufacturers in 2024 and expanding offerings for design engineers globally, Mouser Electronics partners with Synaptics to distribute AI and edge solutions.
Electronic components distributor Mouser Electronics has entered into a distribution agreement with Synaptics, a provider of neural network technologies and human-machine interface (HMI) devices.
According to the company, the new collaboration is designed to enhance access to Synaptics’ products for design engineers working in industries requiring advanced edge and AI solutions.
Based in San Jose, California, Synaptics’ product portfolio includes low-power edge computing, AI solutions, IoT embedded systems, and application-specific system-on-chip (SoC) technologies.
Synaptics’ Vice President of IoT and Edge AI Processor Business, John Weil, added, “Mouser’s decades of experience as a trusted, authorised distributor of cutting-edge components for design engineers makes them an ideal partner for Synaptics.”
The collaboration also introduces the Synaptics SL1680 evaluation kit from the Astra Machina Foundation Series, designed for easy prototyping of Synaptics’ SL-Series multimodal embedded processors.
At the same time, Mouser announced that it had added more than 60 new manufacturers in 2024. This expansion increased its product offerings for electronic design engineers worldwide.
Among the new manufacturers is Adam Tech, a supplier of electromechanical components, cable assemblies, and custom solutions, focusing on innovative connector designs and manufacturing capabilities that improve performance.
Ambiq, another addition, is a leader in low-power, AI-enabled microcontrollers designed for wearables, hearables, IoT, edge devices, and mobile edge computing applications.
Amphenol AIRMAR, a division of Amphenol, is now part of Mouser’s lineup, offering high-quality sensors for marine and industrial applications.
Additionally, Mouser has added Macronix, a prominent integrated device manufacturer in the non-volatile memory (NVM) market, known for its NOR Flash, NAND Flash, and ROM products.
Morse Micro, a developer of next-generation, low-power wireless chips that provide long-range, secure connectivity, has also joined Mouser’s offerings. This company is contributing to the Wi-Fi Alliance’s efforts in advancing Wi-Fi HaLow technology.
Lastly, Vox Power, a designer and manufacturer of high-density modular and conduction-cooled power solutions, has been added to support the healthcare, industrial, and technology sectors.
Mouser’s extensive distribution network ensures that customers can quickly access cutting-edge products, which is supported by exceptional global logistics and service.
“Mouser’s mission is to serve our global customers with the widest and newest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, as well as the related development tools necessary for total project design,” said Kristin Schuetter, Senior Vice President of Products at Mouser.
