Eyeing to support its vision for US$3 trillion economic growth by 2045, Telangana signs an MoU with Blaize to expand AI and semiconductor R&D in Hyderabad.
The Telangana government has formalised a partnership with Blaize, a leading California-based company in energy-efficient AI hardware and software. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
A key aspect of the deal focuses on enhancing Blaize’s research and development (R&D) activities in Hyderabad. The partnership will enable Blaize to expand its R&D and engineering centre in the city, harnessing its expertise in AI computing for data centres and hybrid infrastructure.
This collaboration is poised to accelerate Telangana’s ambitions in the electronics, semiconductor, and AI industries. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted the significance of this agreement in realising the state’s ‘Telangana Rising’ vision.
He also pointed out that one of the key objectives is to establish the state as a premier AI data centre hub, a goal integral to Telangana’s target of achieving US$3 trillion in economic growth over the next two decades.
Meanwhile, the state is also launching the ‘Telangana AI Innovation Hub,’ a centre designed to foster research and attract investment. IT and Industries Minister Dr Sridhar Babu emphasised that the hub will strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a global AI destination.
He also welcomed Blaize’s potential expansion in the region, promising the state’s full support in developing a skilled workforce to meet the growing demands of the semiconductor and AI industries.
