The transaction awaits regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the end of 2025. The agreement includes a multi-year collaboration with HARMAN.
Wipro has agreed to buy HARMAN’s Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business, valued at about $375 million and is expected to close by 31 December 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.
Wipro will enter a multi-year strategic agreement with HARMAN alongside the acquisition of DTS, covering collaboration on selected offerings.
DTS adds domain-led design, connected product engineering and software platforms, with work across technology, industrial, aerospace, healthcare and consumer sectors. Wipro framed the transaction as expanding AI-native and device engineering capabilities, from design through manufacturing support.
Srini Pallia, Wipro’s CEO and MD, said the combination would enhance the firm’s ability to deliver AI-powered engineering services and shorten delivery timelines for clients. “Their specialised engineering expertise, combined with Wipro’s consulting-led, AI-powered capabilities, will significantly enhance the value we deliver to clients,” he said.
Srikumar Rao, Wipro’s global head of engineering, said the deal supports an end-to-end approach to digital engineering. “Together, Wipro and DTS will enable clients to connect the virtual and physical worlds and embed AI across the full spectrum of engineering,” he said.
HARMAN, a subsidiary of Samsung, said the sale allows a sharper focus on its core automotive electronics and audio portfolios, while DTS, inside Wipro, gains access to larger programmes and a broader client base. “This agreement unlocks the next chapter for the DTS business unit,” HARMAN CEO Christian Sobottka said.
