Auto splicing unit
In August 2013, Fuji launched an automatic labour saving tool—the auto splicing unit.
This reduces the actual splicing work time to around six seconds from the usual 30 to 60 seconds, which greatly contributes to keeping the line going by enabling splicing to be completed in a short time. Also, by automating the work, machine’s stops due to variance in quality caused by differing operator skills are eliminated—which contributes to an increase in productivity.
