Bridging innovation and global collaboration, Bharat Telecom 2025 spotlighted India’s rise as a telecom design and manufacturing hub, uniting the industry in New Delhi.
On Thursday, the Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) hosted the 23rd edition of Bharat Telecom 2025, a global buyer–seller meet held alongside the India Mobile Congress (IMC) in New Delhi. The event drew more than 70 international delegates from over 30 countries, with 60 Indian telecom companies presenting advanced technologies and solutions at the Atmanirbhar Bharat Pavilion.
Inaugurating the event, Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, the Union Minister of State for Communications, said India is fast evolving into a global hub for telecom design, innovation and manufacturing. He noted that the country is moving beyond assembly lines to become a centre for product design, development and technological innovation.
The Minister also highlighted India’s growing reputation as a trusted global technology partner. He said government initiatives such as the National Digital Communications Policy and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme are driving major investments, expanding market access and strengthening the innovation ecosystem.
He added that Bharat Telecom serves as a vital forum for international collaboration, allowing companies to exchange ideas, forge partnerships and promote value creation across manufacturing, system integration and software development.
India’s telecom landscape, he said, now offers vast opportunities aligned with global priorities, including satellite communications, rural connectivity and AI-driven applications in governance, agriculture and education.
Ashok Kumar Jain, Deputy Director General at the Department of Telecommunications, remarked that India’s telecom industry is transforming into a hub for design and exports, reinforcing sustainable and inclusive growth.
“This shift reflects the country’s deep commitment to building a robust ecosystem that supports innovation, competitiveness and sustainable growth,” he said.
TEPC Vice Chairman Sanjeev Kumar reiterated that government policies are enhancing export potential and ease of doing business. TEPC Past Chairman Sanjeev Aggarwal concluded that India’s commitment to partnership and innovation continues to build global trust and advance shared technological progress.
The event closed with a renewed pledge to strengthen international partnerships and position India as a leading force in global telecom innovation.
