The partnership will combine TANAKA’s expertise in precious metal materials with Clean Planet’s QHe technology
TANAKA PRECIOUS METAL GROUP has invested in Japan-based Clean Planet Inc., a company researching and developing its proprietary Quantum Hydrogen Energy (QHe) technology. The investment marks the beginning of a collaboration aimed at exploring the potential of advanced materials in next-generation energy technologies.
The partnership will combine TANAKA’s expertise in precious metal materials with Clean Planet’s QHe technology, which the company is developing as a next-generation energy technology with potential applications in energy generation and decarbonisation.
As part of the collaboration, TANAKA will draw on its capabilities in surface engineering, analytical and evaluation technologies, and other materials-related fields to support future materials innovation and technology development.
The two companies will also explore potential synergies between QHe technology and TANAKA’s materials technologies, with a focus on improving performance and reliability and identifying opportunities for new products and services.
TANAKA said the investment forms part of its long-term strategy to explore emerging technologies and industries that could contribute to a carbon-neutral and sustainable future. The company plans to use its experience in precious metal technologies to support innovation in the next-generation energy sector.
Clean Planet CEO Hideki Yoshino said the partnership brings together advanced energy technology with materials and manufacturing expertise and represents a step towards the commercialisation and global deployment of QHe technology.
