SMF batteries: What’s new this summer season?

In the age of innovation, the battery industry has not been left behind. Keeping up with the demands of the customers, SMF batteries are now designed to provide outstanding performance to withstand overcharge, over discharge, and to resist vibration and shock. Compact in size, these batteries save installation space while providing full and reliable power

UPS market : There’s enough to delight consumers

Fierce competition in the market has compelled UPS companies to innovate and make their products more advanced, cost efficient, user friendly and customised. The main focus is on energy management and high quality of power supply

Inverters: What’s new this summer?

Considering buyers’ behaviour and market demand, companies are making their products more advance, cost efficient, user friendly and customised

Battery designs & technology are constantly evolving

These changes are based on market demand, which is tilted towards highly cyclic, quick recharge batteries, and those that sustain higher temperature to cater to ever changing customer needs

Noisy generators giving way to inverters in offices

Both modified sine wave power inverters and true sine power inverters are used for office purposes. These are constantly modified to provide better efficiency and stability

Ingenious Innovations

Innovation is the trend. With technology advancing in a fast pace, customers are demanding UPS solutions with advanced technology and desiring the most feature packed products, doubling the competition in the market

UPS for offices: Smart choices for smart buyers

Most innovations that are happening are focused on increasing efficiency, in an attempt to save power and the environment. Today, the trend is moving towards compact systems and rack based solutions to minimise the space required, and preference is being given to centralised UPS rather than distributed configurations

Transformation in Telecom sector calls for innovation in UPS solutions

The fast technological changes taking place in the telecom sector and the skyrocketing demand for new wireless products, call for innovative and tailor made power backup solutions. UPS brands have taken up the challenge and are providing solutions that are reliable, flexible, durable, cost effective and technologically advanced

Leading battery players

The battery industry in India has more than doubled in the last four years and is still expanding at a rate of 13.4 per cent per annum till 2014. This growth can be attributed to the automotive segment as well as to other industrial sections, which are powered by inverter and UPS like telecom, railways, power and other industries. With the country facing power shortage in several pockets, the usage of inverters and UPS has gone up significantly, increasing the usage of batteries as well. In an effort to appreciate the Indian battery manufacturers, we at Electronics Bazaar contacted a large number of industry experts and electronic associations, who shared with us their preferences of battery brands. The result of which is an unbiased listing of leading battery manufacturers in India. We are not ranking them, but only listing them in an alphabetical order

Data centres propelling UPS market

In the coming years, India has the potential to become a hub for data centres as it not only caters to the needs of the foreign markets, its growth is also driven by increasing domestic requirements. This comes as a big opportunity for manufacturers of UPS systems as they derive 25-30 per cent of their revenue from data centres

Why inverters and UPS fail

If inverters and UPS systems are not specifically designed to address the power conditions, they may meet with a high failure rate

Latest feature-packed batteries

Most devices would literally go limp without batteries. Hence, the deluge of batteries available in the market is not surprising. Epower showcases some batteries with interesting features to give buyers a peak into what’s cooking in the battery market
