Strengthening its defence stronghold, BEL secures fresh ₹5.69 billion orders covering radars, communication and combat systems, reinforcing growth momentum despite a stock dip.
Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has secured additional orders valued at ₹5.69 billion, further strengthening its order book in the current financial year. The fresh contracts were announced in an exchange filing following its last disclosure on 12 December 2025.
The new orders cover a wide spectrum of defence and strategic electronics requirements for various clients. BEL confirmed that the latest deals span crucial military and security technologies. These include advanced radars, tank overhaul solutions, communication systems, fire control systems, simulators, antenna stabilisation platforms, and specialised security software.
The orders also comprise components, upgrades, spares, and associated support services. The contracts reinforce BEL’s presence across land, air, and naval domains.
BEL is a Navratna central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence. It supplies electronic equipment and integrated systems to the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The Government of India held a 51.14 per cent stake in the company as of September 2025.
Meanwhile, BEL has also reported strong financial performance in the ongoing fiscal year. Its consolidated net profit surged 17.87 per cent to ₹12.87 billion in the second quarter of FY26. Revenue from operations rose 25.78 per cent to ₹57.92 billion compared with the same period last year. The results reflect steady demand for defence electronics and continued execution of large-scale programmes.
Despite positive order inflows, BEL’s stock declined marginally. The company’s shares slipped 0.17 per cent to ₹392.75 on the BSE following the announcement on December 12, 2025.
