Transforming production with cutting-edge automation, Foxconn plans to introduce humanoid robots at its Houston AI server facility.
Foxconn, the world’s largest electronics manufacturer and a key producer of Nvidia’s AI servers, announced on Tuesday that it will deploy humanoid robots at its Houston plant, marking a major step in its push toward fully automated smart manufacturing. The facility, which produces AI servers for Nvidia, will be among the first in the world to utilize humanoid robots powered by Nvidia’s Isaac GR00T N model.
The announcement was made during Nvidia’s developers’ conference in Washington, where Foxconn said the move aims to establish a world-leading benchmark for AI-driven smart factories. Reuters had earlier reported in June that the two companies were in talks to deploy humanoid robots at the Houston site, with production expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., said it is also scaling up AI server manufacturing in Texas, Wisconsin, and California to meet surging global demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure.
“Our team is bringing the most advanced AI data center solutions to the United States, which will help our leading customers stay ahead in the AI race,” said Foxconn Chairman Young Liu.
The initiative highlights Foxconn’s growing collaboration with Nvidia and reinforces the company’s commitment to integrating advanced robotics and AI technologies into its manufacturing operations.
