“The companies that succeed in this era will not be defined by silicon alone, but by how effectively they integrate into the open source software ecosystem” – CEO of Rebellions
The South Korean AI chip startup Rebellions has raised $400 million in a pre-IPO funding round, taking its valuation to around $2.34 billion.
The Company will use this fresh capital to expand its presence in United States, being considered a key market for the company. Rebellions will also use this fund to scale production of its AI chips, and strengthen partnerships across cloud, telecom, and enterprise segments.
These will eventually prepare the grounds for a future IPO by the Company.
Alongside the funding, Rebellions has also announced launch of two infrastructure products for AI RebelRack and RebelPOD. These are designed as modular, ready-to-deploy systems for AI workloads.
“AI is now measured by its ability to operate in the real world — at scale, under power constraints, and with clear economic return,” says Sunghyun Park, Co-Founder and CEO of Rebellions.
The Company says RebelRack is a single-unit compute system and RebelPOD combines multiple racks into a larger, scalable cluster aimed at data centre-level deployments.
This shows a shift in strategy by Rebellions, from being a pure chipmaker, to offering integrated AI infrastructure solutions.
The company is increasingly focusing on inference workloads, where efficiency, power consumption, and deployment flexibility are becoming critical factors for enterprises adopting AI at scale.
